Island of Art Ltd is delighted to continue its series of exhibitions at the Garibaldi pub (61 Sopwell Lane, St Albans) in the heart of the historic city of St Albans. The company is proud to show a sample of photographs from well known local photographer Sinead Lynch. They are part of the "Asian Encounters" collection, showing people and scenery.

Island of Art is pleased to confirm its participation in Open Studios 2004. The Open Studios 2004 features two entries for Island of Art: an Open Studio Group and an exhibition.

Island of Art has become a member of the Hertfordshire Visual Arts Forum. Through this membership Island of Art will endeavour to actively participate in the visual arts community for the benefit of artists in the Hertfordshire area.

Hertfordshire Visual Arts Forum is the voluntary organisation for everyone in the visual and applied arts in Hertfordshire.

 
 

 
The Forum aims to:

  • Encourage artists of all disciplines, amateur or professional to meet and exchange ideas and information.
  •  Encourage professionalism amongst all artists and exhibiting galleries.
  •  Promote accessibility to the visual arts in Hertfordshire for everyone.
  •  Encourage the provision of good quality public and private exhibition spaces in the county.
  •  Represent the County’s artists to Local, County, Regional and National bodies such as Borough/County Councils, the Arts Council and Government Departments.
