Hoo Mill in the Parish of Haselor is on the River Alne. The painting is from the opposite bank of the river overlooking the Mill Pool towards the Mill

Hoo Mill was one of the needle making mills in the area besides the Forge Mill where this exhibition is held. It is now a private residence but still one of the few remaining working mills in the area
