Nigel was educated at Hammersmith College of Art and attended the Thames Polytechnic, London. He is a member of the RBSA and the Chartered Society of Designers. He regularly exhibits in London at The Mall Galleries, Bankside Gallery, the Guildhall.

Paintings have been commissioned by the Birmingham and Midland Institute and one presented to HRH Duke of Edinburgh in 2005 Nigel has work in many collections in the UK, USA, Europe and Japan and has prepared drawings and illustrations for the UK Government and for numerous architects and designers, and has also undertaken many commissions for private clients.

He has close associations with several notable art societies and is past vice-president of The Royal Birmingham Society of Artists and past president of the Easel Club.
