Sylvia Stratton was an artist living in Balsall Common, West Midlands, working during the mid/late 20th Century. Sylvia specialised in painting flowers in oil. Her paintings were drawn from life and then completed in her studio. She used a heavy impasto style of painting which made the flowers and leaves stand out from the background and is the example shown here
